Artlink, Inc. is one of the oldest, all-volunteer run, 501-C-3 arts organizations in Downtown Phoenix. Our mission is to maintain and enhance our current regular events, including the monthly First Fridays art walk, the annual Art Detour self-guided tour, a Juried Exhibition and an art-related fundraiser.

In March we celebrated the 25th Anniversary of Art Detour – and we’re just getting started!

Stay tuned for announcements, planning meeting dates and more, as we prepare for Art Detour 26!

 

The event that launched the First Fridays Art Walk is returned to the streets of downtown Phoenix for its 25th year on March 2 & 3, 2013.

The silver anniversary edition coincided with March First Friday, resulting in a weekend chock-full of arts related tours, exhibits and activities.

The event was free and offers programming appropriate for all ages. Activities included arts related tours, exhibits, hands-on kids’ activities (Kids’ Detour!), music and performance art, and much more.

2013 Scheduled Events:

2/23 – Silver Gala. Thanks to all who made this a fantastic 25th Anniversary kick-off!

3/1, 6-10p – Pre-Detour First Friday featuring the Public (Art) Hanging reception.

3/2-3, 11a-5p – Self-guided tours. A map and shuttles will guide visitors to the open art stops.

3/2, 11:30a & 1:30p – Walking Public Art Tours. Docents will guide visitors to points of interest.

3/3, 2p & 3:30p  – Guided Studio Tours. An intimate look at working studio spaces.
